Paradise Valley Unified School DistrictDr. Amanda Lim is a proud graduate of PVSchools, where she attended Larkspur Elementary, Shea Middle School, and Shadow Mountain High School. She is also the parent of current and incoming PV students and has served on the site council and volunteered extensively at her children’s schools, working to enhance student opportunities and promote innovative programs.
Dr. Lim’s experiences as a PVSchools student sparked her academic journey, ultimately leading her to Arizona State University, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. This foundation inspired her to pursue a career in biomedical research, specializing in molecular biology, genetics, and bioethics. Her passion for learning further propelled her to complete her doctorate in bioethics at Cardiff University, where she focused on equity in biomedical research and its intersection with education and healthcare.
In addition to her role on the Governing Board, Dr. Lim serves as vice president on the board of directors for the Arizona Bioethics Network and on the advisory board for the Arizona Science and Engineering Fair, supporting STEAM outreach, student engagement, and community collaboration. Her lifelong connection to PVSchools and commitment to excellence and equity guide her work in preparing all learners for diverse career paths and lifelong learning.
