Dane Watson

Board Member

Dane R. Watson, appointed as a Municipalities trustee in January 2024, represents the City of North Las Vegas under Mayor Pamela Goynes-Brown. He earned his teaching credentials from the University of Central Arkansas in 1990 and taught in his hometown of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Currently, he works for the Clark County Education Association, the largest independent teachers’ union, where he has held various positions, including Representative and now Organizer.

With a strong passion for public education and advocacy skills, he offers a unique perspective and looks forward to promoting growth in schools. He is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

Dane is happily married to Wendy Watson, and they have one grandchild.
