Dr. Sumera Rashid

Dr. Sumera Rashid is the Little River District School Board Representative. Dr. Rashid grew up in New Jersey and earned her bachelor of science degree in biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Doctor of Dental Medicine from Rutgers University (formerly known as the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey). She completed her General Practice Residency at the University Hospital of Rutgers University. Dr. Rashid has lived in Virginia for 15 years.

Dr. Rashid has held a license to practice dentistry for 20 years and has worked as the Dental Director for several Federally Qualified Health Centers, such as Greater Prince William Community Health Center, Evergreen Health Center and Healthworks of Northern Virginia. Her responsibilities included managing staff, setting schedules, setting up new dental clinics and performing dental treatment on all patients.

Dr. Rashid has served as the Supervising Dentist for Northern Virginia Community College’s (NVCC) Medical Education Campus for several years while treating patients in their dental clinic. Currently, she is the Dental Director of an accredited dental program at NVCC and has served the College for over 10 years.

Dr. Rashid lives in Ashburn with her husband and two children.
