Loudoun County Public SchoolsLauren Shernoff is the Leesburg District School Board Representative. Lauren was born in Ohio before moving to Northern Virginia where she graduated from Chantilly High School in Fairfax County. Lauren attended The Ohio State University receiving a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and Education (’06) with a Masters in Education (’07).
After graduate school, Lauren moved back to Northern Virginia in Loudoun County. Lauren was a classroom teacher in kindergarten and first grade for 10 years in Fairfax County before moving to Loudoun County Public Schools. In LCPS, Lauren was an Elementary Literacy Facilitator for six years and then took a school-based position with a literacy and science focus at Guilford Elementary.
Lauren is also involved in her community. Lauren is the PTA secretary for Tolbert Elementary School and also served as their Loudoun Education Alliance of Families (LEAF) representative to the school board. In addition, Lauren serves as the Leesburg representative on the Loudoun County Advisory Commission on Youth (ACOY) appointed by the Board of Supervisors.
Lauren has lived in Leesburg for the past ten years with her husband, Alex, and their two children, Hannah and Allison.
