Nicole Konz

Board Vice President

Academy School District 20

Nicole Konz is no stranger to volunteerism. For years, she dedicated herself to educating kids of all ages through youth ministry and fitness classes.

Konz was elected to the Academy District 20 (ASD20) Board of Education (BOE) in 2021. Her love for education began with her grandparents, who were all public-school educators.

In high school, Konz taught religion classes. Then in 2000, she graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Business Management and Policy. After moving to Colorado Springs, a new passion was ignited when she started teaching fitness classes at her local Colorado Springs YMCA. For 14 years, she taught early childhood to preschool-aged children and daily adult group exercise classes. This helped her to meet and connect with other ASD20 families.

For five years, Konz enrolled her daughters into Academy Endeavour Elementary School through ASD20’s School Choice enrollment process. But it was only a matter of time before her family moved into ASD20 district boundaries. Her children will graduate as proud Rampart Rams!

She and her husband Kevin have been married for 20 years. When they aren’t attending their daughter’s school activities, the family enjoys hiking, gardening… anything that keeps them outdoors. Though, if the Dave Matthews Band is in town, Nicole is there. She’s seen them perform live more than 20 times!
