Paradise Valley Unified School District

Sandra and her husband Coy have been married since 1997 and are proud parents of a Horizon High school student. Mrs. Christensen has over 30 years of combined experience in Business, Information Technology, Veterinary Sciences, and Multimedia. Originally from Las Cruces, NM, she moved to Phoenix in 1994 to work as an IT Project Manager for Honeywell (formerly AlliedSignal Aerospace) after graduating with a BBA in Business Computer Systems at New Mexico State University. Later, she became a Team Leader for Perot Systems in San Francisco, CA, and a Practice Manager for Alta Vista Veterinary in Phoenix, AZ, before retiring to focus on family and community service.

Mrs. Christensen has lived her life protecting the vulnerable and defending those who don’t have a voice. She has been a foster parent, church volunteer, Phoenix Dream Center mentor, Reigning Grace Ranch volunteer, and animal rescuer. She has also been an active PVSchools volunteer supporting teachers and students since moving to the district in 2015. She looks forward to serving the community as a Paradise Valley Unified School District governing board member.
